Meals on Wheels
It became evident in the early 1980s that there was a need for the delivery of nourishing meals to persons in the community who have difficulty preparing meals for themselves. The Rotary Club of Windsor has been involved in the Meals-On-Wheels project since its formation in 1986. Rotarian Bernie Fetter represented the Club on the Committee in its early years and helped get it rolling. This organization is administered by a volunteer executive with many representatives from local societies and groups. Volunteers, including some Rotarians, deliver the meals. Our Club donated $1,200 to Meals-On-Wheels for equipment used to deliver the meals.
