Our Club gave financial support over several years to school students selected from one of the local high schools to attend an annual conference at Mount Allison University, Sackville, N.B. The students participated in a United Nations type organization which debated world problems. This seminar was dropped by Mount Allison in 1988 and re-instituted in 1991. During the three-year gap, the Club sponsored students to a Forum for Young Canadians in Ottawa. This project was dropped in 1993. In recent years we have assisted some students who attended Encounters with Canada.
